Mission
Impossible?

Exploring the challenges ahead

Hyndman Centre

Do you find it difficult to talk with people about your faith? Do you think it's harder now to be a Christian in public than it used to be? Do you think many people are not really bothered about what you believe? Do you feel that getting people to come to church is almost impossible?

If you have answered 'yes' to any of these questions you are not alone! The Mission Impossible? course will look at these questions using recent research (2012) which revealed that:

89% of Christians recognised that most people simply don't want to be in church on Sundays.
87% thought the Church had an image problem.
48% said, 'I'm too scared to talk about my faith.'
61% said, 'it's more difficult today to speak about what you believe.'

By looking at how churches are doing mission, by looking at how our society is shaping the way people think about faith and by looking at how Christians can effectively share their faith, this course will positively show that Christianity will not self-destruct in five seconds!
